Kel, Are you working for LU or as a contractor. If it's for LU directly you should be able to claim free travel on the train from home to work plus all your family (wife & kids) can get free bus and train travel anywhere in the UK Get your employeer to check that out for ya.
Traffic lights in London are just rough guidelines

Is driving into work going to be an option with congestion charges etc? I would do whatever I coud to keep the Fronty, you have to have some escape in life.

Kel, have you got a Bike Licence mate ? If so grab one of the many cheapys that are up for sale at the minute as everyones now outing their winter hacks and dusting off their superbikes for summer there's loads of bargains to have. A decent CB500 (has no style at all but pretty much bullet proof) which is ideal for commuting on the cheap should set you back about £500 to £600 and will probably still be worth exactly the same when you come to sell it on after the contract ends.

No Kel don't get rid of your fronty m8t...Its a good clean motor and one you obviously enjoy owning and will be very hard to replace it with another in the same conditions as yours is in m8t. I'm sure with your savvy you will think of something

I am now officially starting to worry now, all the guys that are going over to the london underground/network rail project are losing our vans. So looks like I got to sort out what I'm going to do. Gregster, I am grateful for youre suggestion/offer but I will have to buy the car first and that is cash I just dont have . I'm going to have to think long and hard about this situation, might have to get myself a credit card ..... I will make sure that this annual meet is a good one, it could be my last........

Kel, it would be worth getting a small loan and getting a little fiesta 1.4 cdti like mine. 60mpg £200 insurance and £35 tax
