bio fuel

hi folks
just wondering if anyone runs there frontera's on bio diesel,
ive been seaching for info on using it but most information is not helpful or very informative,
i was tempted to run my 2.8 on it but im unsure if it will cause me problems,
is there anything i need to change or add first, do i need to mix with normal diesel or can i run on bio alone???
will it cause damage to the engine in the future?
its a big saving on fuel cost but not if its going to destroy my engine eventually...
ive tried do a seach on the forum but have not found much about it,
sorry if ive posted this in the wrong place i was unsure where to put this topic

I was thinking the same about my 2.5, but with all the electronics on these engines I wouldn't know if it'd work or not. Any ideas anyone?

sorry guys i did not realise when i posted on here theres another discussion under modifications and convertions,
it does not come up on a seach of the forum for some reason, but its under the title bio-diesel,
but it is a good read regarding bio fuels and problems with it to the fuel pump etc..

You ideally need injectors upgraded and new upgraded fuel pump seals as bio or veg will eat them double quick in the 2.8.
As for the DTI I wouldnt let anything through that pump other than straight diesel and even then my fingers would be crossed

a firend of mine ran his 206 hdi on svo for about 18 months and it loved it except the cold. only thing that stoppped him in the end was the cambelt going on the car
