Got to say, reckon the mud conditions were the stickiest we've had down in the woods. Can't remember anybody doing a clean run up any of the hills, even the ones that are normally labelled as easy.
Whether it was down to us wearing the top soil off and now we're down to the soap bedrock (chalk or tree roots) or the rain conditions doing their stuff laying undisturbed for a couple of months, giving the mud chance to kick back at us, who knows, but it all added to a fun day.
After a couple of hours or so pulling each other out from the bottom tracks, it was time to get the white flag out and venture up to the top runs. All the digger work from last year paid it's dividends, we were able to entertain ourselves on the slalom tree root run, top bomb holes and others 'deep holes'. Then later in the afternoon, it was playtime around the horse-shoe area - Paul showing how to give it welly and get up round the top - well done fella - before showing us how to get out of the deep stuff down the bottom.
Big thanks to Greg and Sal for their efforts in making this happen and especially to Sal with the culinary bar-be skills.
Hope all the new people who came for the first time had a good insight on what fun is open to everybody that wants it. Promise you guys, you've seen it at its worst, a month later will show another difference to our woods. As it drys, so more areas will come into play, even to the extent, that in the summer, all is doable on road tyres.
Looking forward to the next meet.
Now for the downer - unfortunately, my cheapo SD video cards from Hong Kong are having their payback time. After doing a few vids, the bloody cards are playing up and I can't upload the videos that I took.

Thanks to Greg and Sal for a great day in the swomp sorry woods
i had a great day atempting to drive thanks to pete for pulling me out about 10 times. Miner damage realy lol, Rear quarter, Rear light, Roof, Front wing, snorkel, Rear bumper, Drivers mirror and also managed to run over my own exhaust
Didn't stop there when i got home i reversed it on the drive and drove straight into my mate pauls frontera (Who put that there) so better go and have my eyes tested me thinks.
But it was still a great day and my mate paul loved it. My girls greg treat my frontera like there rooms they wont come out during the day time.

big sorry for not being able to attend - looks like you all had a good laff!

i havent been ignoring you all (and thanks to those who have called/texted :D ) but as some of you know i am being made redundant at end of march. i have been putting lots of effort into tests/interviews/prep etc plus a little r&r for kerry's birthday on friday just gone.

things are looking positive at the moment but dont want to jinx anything just yet  i will be in touch with everyone after this friday is over - thank god!!

this is probably the wrong thread but hey after yet another round of on line numerical tests my brain is frazzled. :drink: and to bed!!!

Bit late for my two penny's worth, but as I arrived late I thought I may as well post late
Sat today out as a spectator as one of my muddies has a puncture :x , but still got to have a bit of fun extracting Fudge and Lloyd with my winch.
As usual Greg & Sal orgainsed a great day with great food, and great company. Thank you both.

Good to meet a few new faces, and 1 or 2 I've not seen for a while.
