Getting my new fronty soon

Ive had enough of my 2.4 keep breaking and letting me down so its gone now and ive put a deposit down on another one.
Im having a 2.0 ltr SWB Niagra sport R reg 1997.
No mods on it yet but maybe soon. spent too much on the last one
No pics yet but as soon as i get some i'll post them up on here.

same here mate i got so fed up with my 93 2.4 breaking down on me that i just went last week and got a 97 shorty too. best of luck with the new one.

bar the alarm its a great wee motor

unlock door open door turn ignition on within twenty seconds or beep beep beep, if you jumpin an do it while closing the door it wont start an you have to lock an unlock. if you dont lock it an get back in an turn the key straight to start it the imobiliser takes a huff an you have to lock etc its tad annoying you get used to it but at time will come when you forget the twenty second rule and BEEP BEEP BEEP

If you want to stopthis you can remove the box but this turn off the central locking.

i removed my decals an now i miss them

aye you say sounds fun not when your in a carpark with your alarm going off an have to get out an lock it an unlock it an get key in the ignition

still i wouldnt get rid of mine for it.

I set the switch to 'sensor off ' and never hear a sound from it. I assume it still works, lets face it who's gonna want to steal a Fronty.

the alarm on my old one was a pain in the back side as well, it used to keep going off all the time. Especially on a morning when i used to open the car and forget about the alarm while i was getting the kids in . It used to wake half the street up .

They suffer in the summer with the rear window contacts expanding in heat and contracting in the nihgt when cooler, bingo alarm goes off at 2 in the morning

i liked mine with on it now at first i didnt like them but now it looksbare maybe if i find a new set on ebay one day or get something new

Just fiddle with the rear connectors and that should sort it, easy fix.

i have locked mine with rear door left a jar an the alrm hasnt went of yet i had one false alrm cause of a front window open a baw hair

yea my old sport was a nightmare when it came to the alarm. i got so peeved off with it that i just stoped locking it. but this new 97 sport has had the alarm removed at some point im not sure how this was done but its a blessing.
