MPGI have just filled up my long wheel base 2.2 dti, and worked out that on average it was doing a little over 32 MPG. This includes towing a trailer a couple of times, using 4WD a couple of times around town and bypass. I didn't think that was too bad. A little better than my old 3.1 Isuzu Trooper.
Re: MPGI would be happy with that. I've been keeping receipts and keep meaning to work out my MPG now that the gauge and milometer work

This posting may have been helpfull, on the other hand probably not... Either way, I may have had drink when posting it in which case it's probably not as helpfull as it could have been

Re: MPGThats a good result buddy. The earlier 3.1 Troopers were thristy to be honest, but the post 1995 ones seemed to fair better. However my 1990 Mk.I 2.8 Trooper enjoys 35 mpg. I worked it out over a month of commuting between Norwich and Ipswich each day weekend blasts and towing totalling 1900 miles.

Re: MPGI get low to mid 30's which isn't bad considering weight/4wd and an extra 5-10 mins everyday ticking over defrosting.
