Ahh great thank you all. Im in Shard End (B34). Ive worked the spot lights but i really could do with your opinions as i have a problem im worried about. The car keeps going to the left. Ive checked tyre pressure, they were well off (one 40 psi the other 15 psi) so ive corrected them to 30 psi. Ive had the tracking done. Bloke who done tracking said it was off a bit but now ok. Problem is, still swaying to the left. Also, when im stopped and turning right, steering goes very stiff. Im very worried it something more serious. Apparantly the car was driven 200 + miles on the motorway to get to the dealer where i got it so he ruled out anything bad. Any ideas at all? if any you guys want to meet up i'd be happy to. If this issue is sorted ill know ill love the car. Please help. Richard

Hi Rich,
I suppose you've checked the obvious things like matching tyre/wheel sizes or unusual wear. Or maybe jacking the wheels up and checking they spin freely. Perhaps one of the auto hubs aren't releasing properly or a brake is binding. Any strange bearing noises?
Ward End, not that far away. I used to have a friend who lived on Cotterills Lane.

Hi Sym
All the tyres are 65r 16's. There is a slight noise when turning right, like a 'winding' noise, nothing too loud. Because this is my first A series (sounds daft I know theyve been out years lol) i dont know if the noise is normal. When im driving along i have to have the steering wheel slightly tilted to the right otherwise she'l go the the left. Im thinking all sorts of nightmares like wishbone, rods even suspension but i do over panic a bit.
Ward End, yes i know that well. Just dropped my mrs down on Kenwood Road! Maybe i can come up to you when you got a bit of time?
Thanks Rich

Hi Richard,
Sorry not in Brum, As well as the advise from Syms try changing the wheels front to back, sometimes a tyre can cause pulling to one side.

I've heard of knackered shocks doing some wierd things to handling so hopefully Plumjams idea will sort it.
Mine drove like a git on the original steels following every little mark on the road, bordering on undrivable at times. Since swapping over to alloys it drives superb, strange when you would've imagined the larger tyres would have had a detrimental effect on handling.
I hope you guys get it sorted.
Sym.
