Re: Robbin gitsThieving scum I had my window broken on my other car cost me 80 quid for the window just so the waster could look in my glove box I saw him from the bedroom window shouted what you doing you thieving bas****d and he just toddled off like nothing had happened.
Re: Robbin gitsKnow how you feel Alex - as Greg said, same happened to me a few months back. Worst thing is thinking that the tow rag(s) will be back for the other one. I spent the next couple of weeks sleeping with one eye open ready to run outside with something that could do the ar*eholes damage.
Then went through the phase of going to try and buy a couple of second-hand wheels clamps but finally settled on the idea of fitting leafer hub covers over the hubs (courtesy of Paul mapracing) secured on with the locking wheel nut. You will need to use the leafer extended wheel nuts and washers with the securing covers).
Re: Robbin gitswhat is this country coming to its getting worse aint there any way you could leave some thing out in view when your there to keep eye on it then if they come back you can give them a kick in
Re: Robbin gitsBefore I got my fronty in 2008,three scumbags tried to steal my Ford Sierra xr4x4 and they opened my driveway gates then they crouched down and crawled on their hands and knees to my xr4x4 to avoid detection on my cctv cameras but it didnt work as the security lights were activated and they legged it. So I watched the video tape and I got the police out in the morn ing and the scumbags were caught the next night trying to steal someone else's car and with my video the police found it was the same three. Now having the fronty in the drive,my cctv cameras record every night now.

Re: Robbin gitsIt is no longer Robin Hood it is robbing to order.
Has anyone on here asked their local garage/mechanic to "find" one for them? "Well manufacturer's parts are expensive but I know someone...etc." If you need something done quickly just ask a busy woman then get the f"k out of her way.
Re: Robbin gitsAnyone that STEALS or DAMAGES other people's property do need Lynching in my opinion
And yes they are just pure scum bags, cowards and not fit to breath in my opinion, they are purely a waste of space!! If they have any conscience within them ..Hope it eats then up!!
Re: Robbin gitsThanks for the commenst, Ive now calmed down. They only took the housing with the mechanism in it, the splined bit is still on, so I think it could be used on another type of vehicle.
Gonna cost me £80 for a new one, luckily I know a Bernie who can counterbore the housing to take different bolts, including E bolts. No one nicking another. The drivers one is still on, I have my 4ft axe leaning up the front door, so any toe rag will get a shock Fronty no.4, pimp mobile Treg 3.2 LWB lifted 2.5"

Re: Robbin gitsalex, its £80 that you wouldnt have to spend if they hadnt nicked it in the first place.

Re: Robbin gitsWhile doing Dan's head gasket (DCY), i notices that i'd lost 5 out of 6 bolts on the NSF hub on Martha.
Last week, lost 4 more - same side - all torqued down.. and found 3 under Martha at the bottom of the drive.. (sorry - got auto's on Martha), chat with flatbadge owner a few doors down.. not uncommon for 4x4's to be 'roadside salvage' with a "Please help yourself to my CB as my cars got a bit of mud on it and therefore scrap - oh and by the way - have the winch away while your there" attitude.. Apparently a couple of heavily irish accented chaps were touting for business but a few days before... in a flat bed Transit / similar with a pot of smoking tar - a motorway maintenence sticker (STICKER) amber light, only have mobile phone numbers, no fixed abode and possibly a certain 'muskyness' to their aroma who are doing driveway / roofing repairs / gutter leaf clearing in 'de area' - 'loik dat dere hoose ova dere boot cheep and I'll tell ya what - give ya a top top preece'.... 4x4's are fetching premium rates at the moment, and scrap is over £150 a tonne.. lock your doors.. John You cant polish a t*rd..
But you can roll it in glitter if its broken - fix it if it isnt - mod it!

Re: Robbin gits[quote="Kevin1964"]You can't beat good old cctv recording especially with night vision as i have
Oh you can Kev, you can... In cases like this you need a couple of half starved land sharks to hand, such as .... this wee puppy or 'cuddles' here This posting may have been helpfull, on the other hand probably not... Either way, I may have had drink when posting it in which case it's probably not as helpfull as it could have been
Work safe, and remember all technical problems can be resolved with a hammer, the trick is knowing where to hit it and how big a hammer to use (I often find it may also help to have a spare bit in the shed to replace the bit you have just mullered Work in Progress (or not as the case may be) I give you.... 'O-no' the truck. Comments on 'O-no' the truck may be left here Work in Progress (or not as the case may be) I give you.... 'Truck' Comments on 'Truck' the truck may be left here Owning a 2.8 is a hobby in it's self...

Re: Robbin gitsTouch-wood...we dont have hassles...but then it is well known that I have a pickaxe handle behind the front door and would use it...
and if that dont sort it, I also have... ![]() and if Roma dont sort it... I would set Sally on em (but that is in controvention of the Geneva convention I thinks No point phoning the fuzz here...nearest police station is 15 mins away so you need to "resolve" things yourself... Like the lad who burnt out a car on the beach...after we spent a month of weekends clearing it up getting rid of years of neglect so it was a nice place... Length of chain, couple of shackles, my FJ60 landcruiser.... and hey presto the smouldering wreck is upside down in the middle of his dads front lawn...I felt gulity about his fence but over it remarkably quickly... Never had a car dumped or burnt out on the beach in the 5yrs since... Sadly, I think, the biggest problem isnt the thieves The thieves just take advantage of that situation, knowing that they rob what they like, often in broad day light, and even if seen no-one will report or challenge or try to stop them...people will just look the other way and pretend they havent seen anything, safe in the reassurance that it wasnt them this time... Then people will willingly buy the stolen goods cheapycheap in the full knowledge that some poor sod has had them stolen, but they just dont care as it wasnt them that had it nicked and they really dont give a damn about anyone outside of their 4 walls... Its a sad sad situation...and it isnt gonna get better...thieving is one of few trades that is reccesion proof and that actually benifits from a vat increase. Whats the answer....everyone blames the police, but without the assistance of the public the police dont stand a chance really... A start might be for everyone to care about their neighbours and be vigilant...not by just sticking a token gesture "neighbourhood watch sticker" in the window, but actually caring and looking out for other peoples stuff as if it was their own and challenging anyone that is acting suspiciously... Bad luck for having your hub nicked mate...but the thing that is worse, is that probably someone very near you saw it happen yet looked the other way and did nothing...
