Re: Laning day during Christmas break in Southern Hemispherebig thank you to bad boy for sorting a very comprehensive days laning - the mapping technology is great even better for me personally in that we took in a fair few lanes literally a few miles from my house and where i grew up - so plenty for me to go exploring locally whenever the mood takes nice to see he has the new winch in place and picked up a tip re: fitting of my new snorkel re: southdown contact - cheers fella!
great way to break the holidays up and catch up with pedro, mapracing (and kids) and fudge thanks for the laffs chaps. few more scratches for all of us, a near miss for fudge down a 3000 foot drop (well nearly) saved only by FOG power and pete's 2.8 - although he got a little stuck too definitely an example of dont go laning on your own cos coulda been trouble.... brought a mate along for his 1st trip ever off road along with both our sons - they all had a good time and all 3 fell asleep on way home - bless.. see ya all soon and have a great new new year with plenty more fronty action, cya!

Re: Laning day during Christmas break in Southern HemisphereGood to see everybody today and a big thanks guys for coming out today and enjoying a brilliant days laning in our own back yard.
As Steve said, massive thanks to Paul (Badboy) for doing the planning and leading. Today's action was predominately on the North Downs so we got to go down and up some serious slopes encompassing some fantastic lanes. All this on damp chalk/mud substrate which does result in a very slippery surface as both me and Fudge found out. No pics from me but hopefully the guys taking the pics will be along wih the uploads in a bit.
Re: Laning day during Christmas break in Southern HemisphereYeah ,deffo get the pics up fellas - I've not been able to get out so I may as well look at someone who has

Re: Laning day during Christmas break in Southern HemisphereAnother great laning day was had by all. Good to meet up with you guys again, and nice to meet Fudge.
The views would have been excellent had it not been thick fog all day, so instead we had to enjoy water, mud, muddy water, and we even got to try out out recovery techniques Some excellent photos from Paul (mapracing), although the one of Fudge stuck doesn't quite show the problem or how he was (nor the 3000ft drop ). Took us the best part of 45min to get the car back up the bank to level ground My guess is muddy's have just shot up his shopping list Thanks to Retro for organising the day. I suppose that had we organised this on a weekend that attendance would have been higher, so with that in mind, I'm gonna look to organise a day before the picnics start up again. Traffic lights in London are just rough guidelines
Re: Laning day during Christmas break in Southern HemisphereLooks like you lot had a great day. bummer I couldnt make it.....next time
