U480 Code reader

Right, for the past couple of days my truck is running like a bag of poo so I decided to try out my new code reader even though there is no engine management light on.

To my surprise it came back with a code, P0502. Looked in the back of the book and it says 'Vehicle speed sensor A circuit low input' whatever the hell that means or where it is on the engine.

Also after the scan it came back with: FAULT; 00
PEND ; 01

What is the difference between the 2, the instruction manual isnt the clearest thing in the world to read, please help.

Not 100% sure but the first one could be just dirt on the sensors behind the front wheels. Had a similar problem after driving throught lots of water, mud, dirt etc. Generally just a question of washing it down.

Not sure on the other two. Might be worthwhile tom drop a PM to A friend, as he is pretty good with this staff.

Is your vehicle a Auto perchance ?

Either way it's a code for the Vehicle Speed Sensor - on output of transmision , 3 wire plug I think.

No, not an auto.

On the transmission? Where abouts? gearbox or transfer box?

Where the speedo drive is/would be. Normally near the tailshaft (by rear prop exit)
