Yer Blue went all puppy like, not bad for 13 years Well what an evening, the snow is at least 7" thick and starting to freeze and we have more forecast Andysd1 came back and we went out and only got half a mile, we recovered at least 24 cars, wagons and taxis even police cars, was a good laugh but 3 hours of hard work It was amazing how many people where ragging the nut off the cars in 1st gear, as soon as we said feather the throttle in second and shouted instructions as when to give gas or back off they didnt need a tow. I freaked two girls out who where stuck by telling them I could push the car out with one finger on the mirror if she listened to me, so gave her instructions she did as I said with the clutch (dirty minds ) and I walked along side the car with one finger on the mirror and she was no longer stuck they no idea how to drive in bad weather up here lol. This is Andy turning on a penny to go get the Police car, the bobby was laughing his nuts off, but he wasnt laughing after he realised his BMW didnt have a towing eye he had everything in the car for every eventuality, BUT being towed

Only got a couple of inches, but there are no gritters which is the first time there haven't been any on the 4 years I've lived here. Going up the mountain later to see what it's like up there

We've finally had a reasonable sprinkling of snow here in the West Midlands, despite previous "warnings" being a little optormistic. Went to work this morning; there was almost an inch of snow to be cleared from the car at 08:30, with the roads (both reseidential and main) being a pair of tarmac lines in the white stuff. 11:00 there was an additional 2" of snow on the car to clear and the roads were white over Probably around 3 to 4 inches of lying snow. It's easing off a little now, but was good fun whilst I had to be out in it Lawrence

Cheeky Chick bet Harvey's feet are cold if its half way up his body Well Done Ste and Andy doing their rescue bit well done both of you! Ste You don't fancy running a course next year on how to drive in the snow & ice do ya if you do May I be the first to put my name down for that, as I don't have a clue And the poor woman who abandoned her Car and doesn't know where she left it.... I can quite understand that My son rang me last night and told me he was stuck in town and no buses running, and wanted me to pick him up!... Said sorry you will have to walk I am not risking Gracie out in this weather there is ice and snow outside the house .. He did remind me that she is a 4x4 , Said '' don't care ..Walk home.. you were advised not to go into town, but didn't listen'' Well was only 6 mile walk home for him lol ...Sure the fresh air did him good Wish I could download photos onto my laptop as the snow is making the village really pretty .. Take care all and be safe Cheers Roo
