Bad day greenlaning

i had a day of from work the other day and i decided it was time to take the new truck out for a bit of snowy greenlaning but wat i hadnt relised is just how icy it actually was on the tracks, as we did have about 3ft of snow in this area as well the big snow drifts and icy conditions did not bode well for a good day

so we set of in the snow and ice

so we start gettin more and more icy and snowy



oh and the oopsy happend i went up a we hill and just slid sideways as i was tryin to reverse back down

in the end the local farmer pulled us out and through a streem as we kinda missed the bridge! all in all hour and quater well and truly stuck

That's why I don't go on my own mate. Getting stuck with no backup is not fun

Take a shovel next time,that might help
you could then dig yourself out and it will keep you warm.

I got out of this pickle with a set of waffle boards wedged sideways behind the tyre, enabling me to gain traction

ill resize them to night mate wat size is best ? and i did have a shovel still no luck at all haha =] good fun though my lass didnt think so

i just resized them but now they look even bigger i am sorry if this has messed it up ! yeah there was abit of harm no fuel tank gaurd left now haah!

I pity the little hound sitting in the back, if only dogs knew who they were putting their trust in they would probably refuse to get in a car driven by a human again

Took my dog laning just the once, he was thrown about like a rag doll then fecked off trying to chase sheep the rest of the time and he started his flippin life on a farm

haha narr he is used to it as he comes in the tractors and forestry machines wit me when i am at work he just lies down and chills beans =]
has anyone else had some "fun" experiances in the snow yet?
