Rear lights?I have just seen a lwb fronty on ebay Its on a W reg 2000 plate but it has the old style rear lights is this possible?
Re: Rear lights? Not without vast body mods to the rear end it isn't...I doubt they are A series lights because there is nothing wrong with the standard type of rear lights on the B series..You got the ebay item link??
Re: Rear lights?I hope this is how you post links
Re: Rear lights?Defo A series
As it's an Opel version, my money is that at some point it was owned by a British serviceman in Germany or similar, and the DVLA messed up on the registration. Either that or it was sat in a European dealers for ages. Would need further investigation Traffic lights in London are just rough guidelines
Re: Rear lights? As above, its an A series. But they didnt make them in 2000, and the 2.5 was only produced from late 96 - 98.
So even if it has been lying around in the dealers, it shouldn't be registered as a 2000. Regards, Keith.

Re: Rear lights?Thats an odd one aint it..

Re: Rear lights?I, that it is. Its not the first one that i have seen like

Re: Rear lights?Would appear some "A" series sat around dealers prior to registering - I have a genuine "T" reg 1999 registered "A" series which appears to have been made in 1997. All reg history is accounted for. David.

Re: Rear lights?Rare but it does happen.
If the car is a good'un then it doesnt really matter when it was registered so long as its legit. And to be honest I couldnt see someone trying to do a scam with such an obvious discrepancy, or maybe Im just too honest? Mileage is reasonable, condition sounds alright. Maybe a tad over priced for its year (actual production 96' to 98') but then prices have been creeping up on frontera's the last year or so.
Re: Rear lights?my only concern would be dvla having no record of the car, i even done text check, and got nothing

Re: Rear lights?Not uncommon either.
My celica had no dvla record with the private plates. Yet they sent me a log book for it and a sorn reminder every year. Come to think of it it wasnt listed in any motorfactors registration databases either but all came back hunky dory if I used the original license plate.
Re: Rear lights?andi the tex check i used worked on it
can any 1 remember the big foot 1 that quite a few ppl mentioned on here it had 1 spotlight on the front that had the wronrg reg as well and that was the same colour
