A FOG diagnostic session!!Right, truck is playing up, and jammywagonwheel has kindly offered his services to help me on the road before the woods trip sunday. But i dont want to waste his time by gearing him up for the wrong job!!
Heres a list of the problems, maybe your expertise to help a down on his luck owner smile again! lol -oil light on when at idle. Goes as soon as accelerate. -oil presure gauge sitting between red and 1st line, so low in my eyes. -Getting hot withen a few miles, and my electric fan struggling to cool it, so had heater on full bore and that was bloody hot! -Oil around the rear of the engine, from the top right down to the top of the gearbox. _-the water expansion bottle is merky black, not sure if oil tho now, as was told oil would sit on top the water. But should be clean as had new water pump a month ago. I thought head gasket, but unsure. Anyone shed some light?

Re: A FOG diagnostic session!!Certainly sounds like head gasket to me...leaking between oil and water...could explain the lack of oil pressure if its pumping it into the cooling system and down the back of the engine...and possibly between the bores and cooling system to which will give you your overheating issues...
Check out the index thread below where pics/reviews from all our past meets can be found!!!!
