Much is this Fronty worth

I have been offered a 2.2 petrol RS sport with 76,000 on the clock 2001 on an X reg and the head gasket is gone. Apparently in great condition inside and out and has a long MOT left on it. Seriously considering buying it and selling the one I have just put on the road after a shed load of work i done to get it there. I was thinking and offering him around £400.

What do you guys think it's worth ?

£400 is not a bad price, but then you have one that you have spent time and money on to get it where it is, and some times its better the devil you know

I know, maybe just keep that one 2 One for the road one for off it

More just for the enjoyment of working on it and the one I have is just the sport no air con ABS etc so bit of an upgrade

If you repair it in time for the first hint of snow it's value will rocket!

if you can get it for £400 & do the fix yourself go for it but if you have to pay for the fix then factor in £450ish on top !

£400 not a bad price if it's in good nick.

Just remember though if your doing the head gasket, make sure you have the head skimmed & presure tested before re-fitting and don't forget to change the oil pump as well. Oil pumps are often overlooked during a H/G rebuild's and for the sake of a few extra quid while it's stripped down is well worth doing and can save you a lot of problems at a later date.
