No wonder the british economy is in such a mess if todays events are anything to go by Well what happened was i had a puncture so used a can of tyre weld,to be honest it was a couple of weeks ago and the tyre started to slowly go down again so went to a local indie tyre fitter to be fixed properly, mentioned i had used trye weld on it and he wouldn't touch it reckoned it scraps the tyre by ruining the inside surface So thought i'd get a 2nd opinion and went to kwik fit who wouldn't touch it as they said the repair patch won't adhere to the tyre once tyre weld has been used So as i had been givin 2 differant reasons for not fixing it i didn't believe either so went to a 3rd fitter called kingswinford tyres and asked him he said yep no problem i questioned him again and said even with tyre weld he again said no problem apparantly the others turn it down as the inside just needs a scrape and a wash down and they couldn't be bothered to do it As it was the tyre was scrap as the puncture was in the sidewall and couldn't be fixed so i ordered 2 new tyres as i have a split in another sidewall which means the other 2 fitters lost out on £220 worth of custom due to a "can't be @r$ed"attitude which makes me as all over the news its economy this and trade that and yet we have companys who won't even try to earn a living rant over
It was just an old worn out jeep Rusty old floor boards Hot on my feet

At least you now know a good tyre shop and can point all your mates his way. Every cloud.......
If you need something done quickly just ask a busy woman then get the f"k out of her way.

Ive got a mate that can repair tyres without removing the tyre from the rim, uses a T shaped tool and a length of rubber.

Post updated with photo. Might even be the same car.I got it in a swap for a Thruxton in bits in a crate that I got in a swap for an unregistered Suzuki 250cc Hustler racing bike.

But in those days tyre fitters knew where their wages came from. The customer. Nowadays they think money just magically appears from head office.

Tyre fitters do my head especially ATS. I took my sisters Megan Coupe to them to get the tracking done but they couldnt do it because it was apparently electronically driven although it has a pump with fluid. Me and my brother did it at home the old fashioned way with a piece of rope. For those that like the old Fords here is my brothers much loved Capri. It started out as a 1.6 laser. He converted it to a 2.8 after the engine blew with a 3.0 LSD, 3.0 front brakes. His mate was arseing around one night in a carpark and slide into it stufing the front n/s. The bonnet on it is the only one he could get at the time that wasnt rotten. He has also added the Cartel body kit to it.
