Shackle pins.Whats the difference between shackles with different colour pins besides the colour?

Re: Shackle pins.I dont think the colour means much but the rating and design mean everything, one of the best manufacturers is Crosby, some good info on their website.

A painted pin indicates that it is made to US specification RR-C-271D IV. Unpainted are manufactured to BS3032:1958 Traffic lights in London are just rough guidelines
