Just bagged me a complete Clutch Kit for £30.00 +p&p All I need now is, someone to show/help me to fit it? I'm looking at the weekend of 25/26th of this month when I hope to be able to replace suspension bushes and propshaft Jurid coupling at the same time.
Anybody available to give me a hand? Refreshments supplied of course!! Please put your name down here.
( I would sooner make a contribution to FOG than pay the Garage!)

Has anybody changed a clutch at the roadside before? Forgot to mention, I don't even have a driveway.

Ive never changed a clutch in a Fronty before, but would be up for a challenge should the dates be right, as its a good learning curve. Mine cost £160ish labour with me supplying the clutch (nearly two years ago)

I did my clutch last week, kind of roadside in my tiny garage. You should be okay outside unless its raining... I found it a,nice job when I got the car up on a set of those drive-up rampse and suspended the transmission through the opening for the gear sticks. I put a piece of 2"x3" wood from the dash to the back seats and could then run a hatchet strap over it to keep control of the height of the gear box. Put the strap just in front other the flange for the front prop-shaft and the box was actually well balanced and easy to manoeuvre around. Make sure you have a collection of extension awnd wobble bars, some of those bolts are hard to reach.. Also the removal of the starter might be your hardest part as there normally are some pretty unaccessible bolts there which require a lot of others parts to be removed before you can get to them.. Happy tinkering

Its easy enough to do but be warned the frontera gearbox weights a bloody tonne.

Yep! Spanner party it is then boys On our kids driveway in Allostock. I really do need some help now! Had the truck seized by the coppers last night, some moron didn't check that my details were put on the MID(Motor Insurance Database) Just cost me £150 to get my truck back so the garage is no longer an option!
