Shackle Up

As an off road newbie i'm thinking I should get some recovery points as no doubt I will need them at some point. I've found a few shackles for the front and would like to know which one people recommend.

Is 3.25 enough or should I be going up to 4.75/5 ton?

Also what do people suggest for the rear? probably looking at welding onto towbar cross member.

You need 22mm 5 ton bow shackles.

Just had a quick read, I have a tow bar fitted so need to find something to weld to the cross member of that.

I did but after further advice i kept the strap and bought bigger shackles.
As for welding onto the tow bar cross member thats correct.

I got them ages ago from Alex as he had some spare but they went like the proverbial hotcakes. Those ones in that thread will be fine mate. Just give me a bell and we can sort out a date for me to weld them on for you
