looking at getting a 2.2 frontera n reg. it has 190k but had a new engine fitted at 60k
are these engines any good? would this be coil or leaf springs

Re: hopefully a new frontera ownerHelo mate, the 2.2 will be a coiler. I belive they did suffer with a weak bottom end but Sir Doris is the know all on the 2.2 so will leave to his superior knowledge

for 1995 5 door lwb frontera 2.2 16v 190k on chassis 60k on engine (with proof) the blokes just putting it through mot for me so will have 13 months test

Re: hopefully a new frontera ownerAll Fronty's are good offroad and yep im biased just a little, you'll find most of us are nuts where are trucks are concerned. They grow on you and then its a love affair and scraped nuckles. You will find it a big difference driving it compared with a car. I drive a Golf to work most days but if i get the excuse i drive the Fronty !!! Go for it mate you will love the experiance and any problems you encounter can be sorted with the aid o FOG.

Re: hopefully a new frontera ownerdoesnt look in too bad nick tbh did have a metal bull bar but was rusty so he replaced. hopefully goes through mot and i can pick up at weekend got some rust on drivers door quite excited and looking forward to some of road experience You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.
