Confused when under load

Postby hipplew on Thu Jul 29, 2010 1:59 pm

Right this may sound a bit daft but I'm a bit confused

Yesterday I had to pick up the new kitchen all 15 flat pack's :? total weight 432kg  plus me, well lets just say that it would have been well over the 500kg

So I thought right let's take it slow and careful and when I get to Manchester road it will have to be a deep breath and see how we get on (Manchester Rd a fairly long steep hill in Burnley)

The thing is it did it with out any problems  in fact and this is the bit that is confusing me the engine performed better than when it is unladen

Now I know that there is the break bias valve at the back but are there any other sensors around just wondering if there is whether they could be tweaked to help with the performance as when it is unladen and going at the same sort of speed the temp is normally over half way yesterday same speed and rev's and with it loaded and it was running cooler also it felt more responsive as well, hence my asking about any other valves or sensors and the like

ALSO JUST TO NOTE I'M ON NIGHT SHIFT'S SO IF I DON'T GET BACK IT'S BECAUSE I'M EITHER ASLEEP OR AT WORK JUST A SHAME i CAN'T SLEEP AT WORK
I'm A NURSE so RUN if you see me coming with a catheter in my hand, GRIN on my face Looking at YOU

The dti has quite a good torque mid range so it would have felt like it pulled like a train under load
