Down change, third to second, the knob did it once by accident then again to see if it did it again I warned him of the damage he could cause, he looked sheepish Tyres are great condition.

I can tell you one thing if flippin well flies and is very smooth with it, the engine is huge though but well set out, oil filter at the top only the intercooler is in a very stupid vulnerable place low down behind a plastic bash guard waiting for any old rock to split it. Yer it seems a torquey engine so could be the issue, just seemed strange the way it happened. Well looks like the 4wd system is the next problem Cheers guys

me and a few blokes where i used to work used to do 5th to 3rd in our work transits at 70 (old di powered ones) and the rears used to lock and nearly stop the van instantly, great for emergancy stops, as said before it is cause the engines cant rev up quick enough and simply lock up
2.3 td lwb died in spectacular style when all liquids in engine bay ended up in the sump....
2.8 tdi lwb sold her and still regret it as she was one hell of a truck
just brought 2.5 tds lwb
