help guys and girls i see a frontera sport tonight on the side of the road for sale so i thought it would be rude not to stop and have a look so i then found out its a 2.8td sport but it has covered 198k miles and has a vibrashion from 15mph up sounds like a tractor but i think they all do don't they? its moted till martch next year and i can have it for around 500 is it worth it i still have my 2L sport. i don't want to buy it to find the vibrashion costs more then the fronty to fix i don't know what to do is it worth the cash??? would be grate full for your input

hi drift was started from cold the oil press gage was right at the top, but the bloke did say it needed a oil change soon i didn't ask about history but he didn't seam like the type of person not to keep it having his brother own a garage or sum thing he said.its had 3 tyres and brake pipes for mot in martch / may its hard to explane the vibrashion it feels like a turning type of one if that makes sence mot is till march or may next year but no tax also has a chip in windscreen is the running gear etc good for lots more miles then 198k?

No the props will be different as the gear box is different to length is not the same. I would love to say buy it but I honestly couldnt with out seeing it, think you have to check out the vibration. It could be a worn UJ or wheel bearing, even a bent wheel. If its like a rumble it will be a wheel bearing. Get a good drive and warm it up, then offer £400

Engine alone should go for over £400 on eBay if you bought it and found it has a major problem with the running gear, as the landy guys seen to like the Isuzu 2.8

picked it up tonight the judder isn't all that bad and goes away when not under load so going to have a look at the back diff and prop am i right in thinking the back diff is ajustable to take the play up? problems we found on the way home was tracking (needs a tyre ) and could feel it pull play in the steering (remembering its covered 200k) and the passanger window only goes down (needs a new switch) i'll chuck some pics up tomorrow to show you all i thought it would have some sort of kick to it but just plods along quite happy so far liking the frontracker / posh transit alot thanks for all the help guys and advice

The rear diff is not adjustable without specialist tools & knowledge but it will most likely be a dry/worn UJ
