Re: Asda/Morrisons fuel price dropIndeed...
I'm with drinksoptional about BP being more expensive though, wherever I go, the BP forecourt is at least 2 or 3 pence per litre more expensive, even if the competeing forecourt is just down the road. I have absolutely no issues with using Asda fuel if I happen to be needing it when I go shopping, the Bus seems to get the same mpg, etc, nomatter where the fuel comes from. Jim...

Re: Asda/Morrisons fuel price dropThe only way BP and the others can keep their prices high is by dumping the surplus via the supermarkets.
And recently a LOT of people have been driving past BP stations because of this Gulf of Mexico fiasco. If you need something done quickly just ask a busy woman then get the f"k out of her way.

Re: Asda/Morrisons fuel price dropThere used to be a member on here and he was a manager at refinery, we where talking one day when laning and he said all the fuel is the same before it goes into the road tankers, its at that point the additives go in, some add more than others and charge the earth for it, it then gets distributed to the various forecourts as the tankers are split into compartments to keep the fuels separate.
So your fuel is all the same, and they add their version of redex and detergents or octane booster into it. Ste

Re: Asda/Morrisons fuel price dropi read in the eving time or sun not sure it was made of paper an primative an not on my laptop screen an they saying super markets reducing the fuel prices but rac saying they to high which we all agree.
i see it this way they increase the price sharply till we get almost use to it then reduce it an we think great its cheaper an stop moaing they then do the samer again heavy rise for a while then after we stop moaning they reduce it an each time the price is getting higher an we slowly adjust to it unconsciosly accepting it when inside we know its too high but we so happy for the reduce rate we do nothing 1989 Isuzu Trooper 2.6 (3.1 conversion )

Re: Asda/Morrisons fuel price dropFilled up at Morrisons on Nottingham last night. Nearly always use supermarket fuels and never had any problems. BP are a cash rich company and why should i line their pockets more by buying their overly priced fuel when it is the same as all others. I will keep them extra few pennies in my pocket thankyou muchly.
