Scrap valuesAny one know the current scrap value of cars. My cherokee has to go.

Re: Scrap valueshi, i got £157 for my old fonty with no engine, no gearbox and no wheels, that was in febuary, got my old weighing ticket, and they were paying £125 a ton, look like it depends what part of the country you are in,, hope this is of help

Re: Scrap valuesThanks all. Cherokees been watching the world go by for 2 years now. I have sold a few parts - wheels/tyres, leather seats, headlights, rear prop shaft, brake discs/pads,etc, and drained 50 litres from tank for the fronty. Local visiting scrappy offered £80 to take away; looks like I should try for more. Neighbour tells me an old trick to add weight was to put sand in the fuel tank!
Re: Scrap valuesBe warned as they are gonna be on the ball with the tank, as where they take it will probably check its had all its fluids removed...might be more hassle than its worth...
