right before i star i absolutely love my fronty
but..................
i havent really had chance to test her out or go laning and being a newbie to the off road stuff i dont really want to venture out on my own, sure i've done a few fords and stuff but no 'real' off roading, i dont know where to begin, where to go, who to go with etc........
so
the do i or dont i bit......
do i carry on and wait for that time when i can get out with fellow fronty owners
or
do i sell her on to someone who has more time, more patience and can use it for what its made for!!!!
comments, ideas appreciated
cheers Dodge

I feel quite frustrated, normally I get out at least once or twice a month but this year has been very very busy, last time I was out other than Bala was February then snapped the cam belt at Bala. Then had other stuff on and got married a few weeks ago then blew the pc up so everything financial has conspired to stop me getting out laning. But the MOT is due in a few weeks, once thats out the way even if I have no money Im getting out So hold on in there, their are usually a lot of trips out but think a lot of people have been feeling the pinch this year.

i want to get out and play, think my car is ready, (niggles,) think im ready, but then again, i have an axle party coming up, then two BBQs to attend,
you could go in to the of-roading section, and pop a post in, asking if any wants to go lanning

If you get rid you will regret not at least having a real go at off roading. Once you have experienced it its like Marmite you will either love it and want to do more or you will hate it so then you can sell it with no regrets. Hang on in there and come down to our BBQ and meet the guys and dicuss where to go!!!!

You could spend a year waiting for a fog offroad meet in your area or do what i did , i joined a scottish off road club who have regular meets my reason was cause the scottish side up here is quiet on the offroad side never mind a MEET, my point is find a local club/forum that goes offroading im sure there is some in your area or stick a request in events on here im sure your not the only one.
I went offroading recently with a mud club an loved it first time on a standard frontie with muds the other guys helped me out an had all the equipment they have weekenders coming up unfortunatly i will miss out on some.
Find a mud club in near you find an offroad site bound to be an offroad club there that would be happy for you too join an ask on here

still umming and arring..........................
it seems that balancing football and offroading is hard work, even the local meets fall on the nights of monthly meeting for my football team.
i hate having a difficult life !!!!
it pains me to say though that im not going to sell for peanuts and the prices have plummeted, so may be a case of hanging on to see what happens and if necessary break it.

You have probably got more members in your area than any other on FOG. As said before put a post in the relavant area and someone will go with you.
Even better, get your ass down to the southeast weekender in September where you can play to your hearts content and have a damn good craic too. And like Bobby says, come over to his on Sunday for the BBQ and spanner party, it's one not to miss

Hang on in there m8 - it's doing the driving and being in control of the situation that gives you the buzz. Looks like you've already got the boots on your motor for the job anyway, so you may as well put them to the test
