Re: £20 of petrol hardly moves the needle!Whats all the bitching about...????
£20 AND the needle MOVED..!!! When I picked mine up, the lad told me he had put £10.00 in that morning and only use fuel from the garage back to his house so there was something in it when I collected the car, yep, there was something in it, AIR..!! and fumes enough to get back to the garage, £40 went in and it only just reached the 1/4 mark. After a few minor tweeks and then a major foot overhaul to remove the lead, I now manage a very careful 24 mpg around town and a respectful 32 mpg on the motorway and feel myself lucky to get that because my gearbox is knackered. So be aware, these baby's use a LOT of fuel and if you drive them hard, then you need a link line and a tanker behind you, dont blip the throttle at junctions and lights, drop her out of gear in any stationary traffic and NEVER hang on the clutch waiting for things to move because the slightest throttle activity will use more fuel. When I am really skint, I coast down every hill I get to just to lower the fuel cost but I would not like to change my fronty for anything at the mo.
