Asda lowering cost of fuelStarts tomorrow only 2p off petrol and 1p of diesel but every penny counts
Re: Asda lowering cost of fuelThats because they have lost lots of fuel customers when they brought in their "pay by card only" pumps.
A lot of folk still prefer to pay by cash. (like me) Regards, Keith.

Re: Asda lowering cost of fuelDown at Devon last weekend and there were 4 large oil tankers anchored off shore in the Exmouth estuary. Apparently this was down from the 8 that we're there a couple of weeks ago. Local was telling us that they sit there waiting for the oil price to go up - then dive to port for unloading when the price is right. Same fella was saying that the story is that 110 of these buggers sitting around the British coastline.
If this is true, no wonder we are paying 122p a litre upwards for our juice.
Re: Asda lowering cost of fuelIt is true, 20 years ago I looked after my uncles flat when he was away at sea and he was on the tankers, he said that went on then but mainly with tankers with foreign crews as they where cheaper to pay and didnt mind as they where already away from home so no reason anything has changed.

Re: Asda lowering cost of fuelIs that a rumour or fact? and the thinking behind £2.00 is what cripple the country starve the poor people who cannot afford the food price increase I personally am already struggling to pay already plus i depend on my car for my family both been disabled an public transport not always an option especialy with son been autistic can freak him out, plus put service that people depend on at risk like cares ,volanteer cares ,meals on wheels or any volanteer rescue or care service buses for disabels or eldery. Never mind ppl that use their veichicle for work eother comute or for work

Re: Asda lowering cost of fuelFuel prices are ridiculous, I remember the fuel blockades of some years ago when it was like 98p or something.
I see Morrisions have dropped the price of their fuel so hopefully it will start a war.

Re: Asda lowering cost of fuelWaiting around at the Petrol Station doesn't work much.
A couple of months ago Mum and I were going out and she wanted to fill up her tank before we left for the journey, we have a couple of local garages that compete with each other and we made our way to the cheapest. In the middle of filling up the petrol station stopped all the tanks and the prices changed upwards and once that was done they started back up again, and although it worked out to be only something like 20p difference, it was still cheaper when she started filling up. You would have thought at least they would have the let the people actually filling up in the station at the time have the chance of the lower price, but no such luck. The real bummer and the luck that we have, that if we had been a min earlier we would have got the fuel at that lower price. Alex.
Re: Asda lowering cost of fuelmorrisions 117p here not 113p my esso is 118p 119p it vary`s through the week yet 2 mile or so down the road in a better area its 116p an i noticed that fuel is cheaper in quite a few better areas funny that
