I had another post running related to my dad's Hyundai Amica with fuel injector problems. Had them cleaned ultrasonically by a friend of a friend and was wondering if this is something worth considering on the Fronty's or leave well alone, i.e. if it's not broken then don't fix it.
As pressurised fuel is part of the equation, thought it best to get a new set of 'O' rings for the cleaned injectors and at the same time, a set of filters. The filters were only 50p each, and one is required for each injector. Supplier advised me the screw a self tapper into the old filters, turn in 3-4 times to loosen, then grip the screw head in a vice and gentle pull the injector. Worked a treat.
What I did notice was that the removed filters had a crusty coating on the mesh. I don't know if this coating was the residue from the cleaning process or natural deposits through the fuel system.
Seeing this stuff, I'm thinking that maybe I ought to think about changing the injector filters on the Fronty, if they exist on a diesel motor?
