Fancy competing in a TrialYou might (or might not ) know that I did my first competative event last year and thouroughly enjoyed myself in the process. Have a read through this thread for more details.
A number of people have expressed the urge to have a go at something similar, and having spoken with Shropshire Off Road Club (SORC) we can most likely make it happen. Effectively, SORC will put on an event and "invite" FOG members to participate. SORC are recognised by the Motor Sports Association (MSA - the UK's governing body for motorsport, reporting to the FIA) and are therefore able to offer event insurance). There will be some costs involved. A days competition will most likely be £20 to enter, and if are not a member of another MSA club, then you can join SORC which is, I believe, £25 a year. Now, that might sound a little expencive, but if we can get enough FOG members to take part, they should be able to do some deal on a day's membership included in the entry fee. I would imagine it would be best if they put on a TYRO event (just like the one I did, if you followed the link earlier) which should allow even standard Fronteras to have a jolly good day out and offer some close competition - tyre choise might be the only decision you'll need to make. Location would probably be near to Shrewsbury. If there is enought firm interest, perhaps we could sort a date out for later in the year. I would be happy to liase with SORC and get this up and running. Please register your interest in the poll and ask those question I know you will want to ask below Lawrence Last edited by Trugga on Thu Apr 15, 2010 8:16 am, edited 1 time in total.

Re: Fancy competing in a TrialWhile talking to them you could ask if a strop could replace the rope,as that is what most peopl carry now & would fit through a smaller towing eye
