Well....this weekend seeing as the weather is going to be nice i thought id'e order a new exhaust and fit it to my Fonty. I ordered a new middle and rear pipe which arrived yesterday, via Tufnells couriers, all nicely vac packed. Today when i arrived home from work i thought i'de best unpack the pipes just to make sure everything was in order. It's a damn good job i did because this is what i found:- As you can see...where the pipe joins on to the flexible section some lazy git has only welded it half way round Some of the other joints on the mid and rear pipes have some poor quality welding. More pictures :- I have to say i'm pretty anoyed but not as anoyed as i would have been if i'de have cut the old exhaust off and then unpacked the new one. What on Earth are Milners playing at selling utter poo like this !!!!? I've emailed the pictures to Milners and i'll be on the phone to them first thing tomorrow morning.

That fith one even looks like a crack in the skin above the top weld. Its pretty disappointing to be honest.

So far i 've had the following parts from Milners:-
2xFront anti roll-bar poly bushes Rear anti-roll bar poly bush kit. Left and right front anti-roll bar drop links. and ....an air filter.
The only item i would complain about is the air filter which was of chinese origin and isn't an exact fit in the air box. It was just about identical to the filter i removed other than the fact that it seemed approx. 3mm too short in length.

I have been caught out so many times assuming that the stuff in the parcel is ok,and not unpacking it until I need it only to find that its the wrong stuff. Now,I try to remember to unpack as soon as I get anything ,to check the parts so that it gives everybody a chance to get it sorted as soon as possible if its wrong.

before the lynch mob gets out lets remember that this would be probably made elsewhere and sold by milners......i used to work for a steel tube supplier, so i was in and around most of the exhaust manufacturers in the uk, and i HAVE seen worse!!!!

I phoned Milners this morning and a woman answered and first said i needed to talk to Keith who was at that point having a phone call with someone else. Keith over heard the conversation and said that i need to talk to someone called Claire who deals with Warranties, but she's not in until Monday.
I'm confused already....why does the warranty have anything to do with me. I've only just bought the damn thing. The warranty is their problem not mine according to my consumer rights at this stage.
I was hoping they would send one out ASAP, but now having thought about the first response i received, i think i'm just going to demand my money back now. Lets see what Monday brings.

Odd about Milners, they have always been the dogs doo daa's for me. Happy to go fetch bits and measure if I'm trying to bodge Trooper bits into the Fronty.
The pipe looks unfinished, easy mistake to make, shame it got through to a customer, but is the manufacturers mistake. If Milners dont get snappy about the swap we should nudge them to this thread as they get lots of business from us and should look after us.
Fronty no.4, pimp mobile Treg 3.2 LWB lifted 2.5"
Fronty no.5 2.8 swb hd coils +2" 31"machos.
