Its strange how you can come across things on the internet. Well... Not really as pretty much everything is available and free on the internet. Yes! Even movies and music can be downloaded free of charge although not strictly legal of course.
Anyway, in another thread on FOG, Cataclean was mentioned. It has been mentioned before and I have thought about using it myself, its just never on the shelf when I thought about buying it.
So while trawling the net I found this site:
www.fuelsaving.info
Its not really a 'for' or 'against' additives site, just plain old common sense. Im not adverse to putting injector cleaner into the tank every few thousand miles, whether it be Redex or Wynns or any of the other multitude of additives. Its a small price to pay to maintain something, whether or not they work... Well who can say. I have no scientific evidence either way but it hasnt done any of my cars any harm to date. and a fiver or even £15 every few months isnt going to break the bank.
There are some useful fuel saving tips amongst other things but in general if your half interested in motors its worth having a gander.
Who knows, if these additives do work and save even a small percentage of fuel over the course of a year then surely they have paid for themselves even if the improved MPG figures are only equivalent to the cost of couple of bottles of cleaner annually.

subject this one, but like you Sir-Doris I periodically put something in the tank usually Redex.
