not a good start today went to go and meet badboy to pick up an alternator and the fronty wouldnt start, called out the recovery and after 2 hours waiting for them to arrive the bloke decided it was a wiring loom fault and would cost around 100 to get fixed, well the good news is after plenty of reading on here i thought it might be worth trying the fuel pump relay, a mate bought one round and hey presto it fired up so lesson learned dont always believe recovery drivers

I am kinda thinking that "wiring loom" and "ecu" faults are the recovery drivers code for "I dont know" or "I want an early day today" or "I fancy some overtime transporting your car"....

agreed mate he didnt have a clue the bit that made me laugh was when he opened the bonnet he said "i havent seen one of these old 16 valvers for a long time" too which i pointed out it was a 8 valve it all went downhill from there

i got made redundant a few weeks ago and ive now realised i could have a new vocation as a recovery driver, you may laugh but ive been practising in the mirror tonight hissing loudly through my teeth and saying its f**cked so now ive got it down to a tee im a qualifed recovery driver


no offence though to the many recovery drivers who know their job and are very helpful
