Cleaning K&N filters

I've just removed the K&N induction filter from KITT and put the original air box back on in preperation for fitting a snorkel, but the K&N is pretty clogged by mud.
Can these be cleaned, and how should it be done as I no longer want it, but I'd like it's new owner to receive it clean

Hi Mate
There is a cleaning kit for K&N filters that you should be able to purchase from any good motor factor.
It has the cleaning solution that cleans it and then you rinse out in water and oil for re-coating the filter.

I've have just cleaned my out with warm water in the past but you must re-coat with the oil when dry.

Don't know anything about K&N filters. Just remember seeing a sticker on Wilberforce's LWB saying K&N filer fitted and something about special cleaning so thought I'd better check

Just buy one of the thing Ste posted up.
It's not a particularly difficult procedure, and one of the K&N recharge kits'll last you awhile... The important thing is the re-oil afterwards, cos the filter won't catch much without it.

Sell the rest of the cleaning kit with the filter, will help for a speedy sale cause it will look like you have cared for your filter
