radio transmitters & key phobs

me and the wife had today off so we thought we would have a ride to pickering in north yorkshire, parked in the long stay car park went to lock the car didnt work so locked it using the key.
did some shopping had lunch etc
wife said il wait here with shopping you get the car,tried opening door several times had to use the key alarm went off would not switch off .
after a few minutes thought i better go get the wife drove out of the car park lights flashing alarm going off pressed button one last time worked and has ever since no problems.
in the car park in front of use was some sort of anntena 10m pole then horizonal pole 2m with a vertical antenna 1m at each end .
may this have been blocking the signal & has anyone else has simular experences.

It was on the news last night that cars park outside a certain restaurant in Keswick kept having their alarms go off and central locking going screwy, turns out it was the hand held card reader they use for debit cards running on the same frequencies as car key fobs

Mine does the same in a multi story in wrexham.Always wondered what it was.This sort of explains it
