yea, a full retest should be done, as the vehicle was driven away from the test centre and the work was carried out by someone other that the garage that performed the MOT, also taking into account seven months have past. Things like corrosion or siezed brakes etc, can obvisiously happen over that peroid of time.
As for advisories, thats exactly what they are, an advisory to what the mot tested spotted on the day of the mot that in his or her opinion may require remedial work over the course of the period of the mot.
Guarantee, if you where ti take it straight to another garage after it's first mot, the second garage would not list the same advisiories.
And dont forget, as it says on your mot certificate, the car was only upto the standards require by law at the time of inspection, and may not nessessarily mean the car will continue to be so during the next twelve months.
