which one?? help needed.

hi all.
i have a swb fronty for the mud and used to insure, tax & mot it for this as well as run a car. now with the way every thing went im finding it harder to do this so i thought id get a lwb fronty to use daily (has to be lwb as i need the space)and trailer the shorty to the play days so im only running 1 car.
but this brings the question what engine is best to get??
it has to pull the swb and when used daily not drink too too much so has anyone got any advise?
i do have the chance of a 2.2 petrol lwb that i could with luck just be swapping the car for, but would this be a good engined one to have?
so any help with whats good and bad about all the diferent engines would be a great help.

hi Fred, not to sure you are aware that 99% of play site's wont let you in unless you car has got insurance, tax and mot,
so even if you trailer it there, they still want them things, unless its a private site,

and is there any majority rule over which one could be the best to go for? i know every one will have a different view but any help would be great.

Depending on budget really but for simple (no frills) agricultural reliability and power 2.8dti

Just a short responce. A lot of Pay & Play sites will only allow road legel vehicles on there sites so please be aware of this.

just been looking and seen a m reg 2.4i petrol with 120,000 miles. anybody got any views on the 2.4 ones?
beening differcult i know but id like to make an informed choice before i go for one.
