Accelerator cable problem

Hi after doing my cylinder head,i now have a problem with the accelerator cable.When i put my foot down to accelerate theres a hard bit before it actually accelerates,I have checked the tis dvd and cant find any measurements regards to the accelerator cable adjustment.Any one come across this before?Id be greatfull for any help cheers Adrian

I know your is a 2.2 but on my 2.0 there is a clip that holds the cable tight may just need adjusting, tightening or loosing off a bit
The clip is where the cable attaches to the manifold

Cheers colley problem sorted.Now the bonnet pull aint working properly.Now another job to do.Oh the joys of owning a frontera

What was the problem ?

I had adjusted it wrong so it had a tight spot to accelerate.So i spent ages adjusting it and finally no tight spot and it ticks over at 900rpm
