The problem with 'induction kits' on these engines (in the Astra's anyway) is that they run quite hot.. so you're raising the temperature of the air entering the engine which can make it run a bit... crapper

well i got to thinking if i got a secondhand K&N induction kit could i convert the airbox it so that it fits inside the airbox and drill lots of holes in the lid to allow more airflow this way i could leave the snorkel on and hopefully the K&N will suck in more air would it work? cheers Lee ps vortex will be removed today

well i don't drive the truck every day so its been standing since wednesday night got in it this morning and it ran like a total pig so i realised that when the vortex was fitted engine was warm but was stone cold this morning so took airintake pipe off and have removed the vortex and will refit the pipe when i go home looked at airbox and my idea wold not work so think the panel filter will be the way to go well i have learnt the hard way cheers Lee
