Towed a tree out of the road with Lilly May , and towed the next neighbour out of the snow they hadn't moved the car till today.

i was out and about. Dragged a car back the other week (elderly couple) and had a "patrol" about checking on a few elderly folks in the area. Nothing offical though.

Have been on standby this week, called out by Wessex 4x4 Response early hours of Wed morning helping Ambulance crews in the Forest of Dean

Got out yesterday to take a nurse to see a cancer patient, roads have been a bit clearer today so quieter.

I was thinking about joining the north west one, but I don't think they actually do anything

4x4 Response is a volunteer organisation who's members help out emergency services, councils, NHS etc in extreme conditions

thanks roo.I mentioned 4x4 response to my employee this morning and he said that a nurse friend of his was less than impressed because she dosent get the day off because some wretched volunteer turns up in a 4x4 to take her to work

The other weekend pulled a police car out that had got stuck when they had pulled over to take a leek . all the did was moan about how many 4x4 the force had and they had a crapy proton also had a flask of coffee when the drink tea .but were greatfull.
