How long to defrost?

Rant Rant Rant got out of bed at 4:30 this morning and whoopee snow i thought that it would only be a matter of brushing the snow off and off to work heater on and warm within 5 mins but OH NO!!.after 15 mins trying to get into my frozen door and not wanting to go back in the house to get some hot water for the seals it opened after i had just managed to get my fingers under the bottom of the door while holding the handle up and pulling the door open and at last it opened.then trying to clear the windows another 10 mins just managed to scrape clear the windows to see out of, then heater on full window and off to work on the unsalted roads.40 mins later i arrived at derby with still an inch of snow on the car while everyone else here just had a hard ice on thiers.temp on the outside clock says -3 now warm and just waiting for my full english with a nice hot cuppa .But 4 days off after today (ps that was a last minuet wangle to get them off)

Put some silicone spray or antifreeze to those seals. It´s easier to get in the car if temp is below zero.

I just remembered that i haven´t either put anything to door seals. Usually this has to be done every year.
Well, if air dry like this morning, -24c, i dont need any silicone.

Sounds like me this am, couldnt get in the red one, once in it wouldnt keep the dioors shut. Couldnt get in the blue one to get deicer, ended up with luke warm water from the kettle to warm everything up.

well it's great to have frozen fingers first thing in the morning but once i locked the house and decided i was too lazy to walk back up the steps to get some warm water i will learn that this is the easy way next time.and i will remember to get the ice scraper out the SWB and put it on the big one for next time .well now to get ready to take the tank off for fuddy in the cold BBBRRRRRR!!!!!!!
