Wotcha foggers.... Pleased to announce our first meet of 2010 at the woods on sunday the 17th January 2010.... will be great to see as many of you there as possible as a fun day! Details below... Sunday 17th January....Picnic in the woods £20 per car on the day, 9am start meet at Notcutts again and then go there together.(if you cant make it till later then pm me and I will give you my mob number to call, so someone can go and meet you nearby and bring you to the site.) I do not have liability insurance to organise offroad events so I am not organising one, so you are being invited to attend a picnic in these woods, the rules of which are as follows.... Litter will be taken home... No open fires... No irresponsible behaviour which is deemed (by the landowner, by me or someone assigned by me), a hazard to anyone (yourself &/or others)... 10mph speed limit on site for safety reasons... 5 mph speed limit through farm yard and past horses in fields... No loud stereos, or noisy behaviour near the farm or animals... No driving in the woods or offroading of any kind... No entering prohibited areas as determined by the landowner and me... No cutting of trees or wood without my permission... Cash up front on the day...£20 per car, irrespective of how many people in it... FOG members and family only, unless I have agreed it prior to the event... These are the rules...only attend if you accept them, you will be required to sign prior to entrance that you agree. Should anyone choose to venture into the woods in their vehicle, I have clearly told you not to and hence will not be held responsible for any injury/damage or loss whatsoever as you are in breach of the rules of the picnic... Confidentiality..The location of this site will not be posted on FOG as we dont want anyone else browsing the forum knowing its whereabouts, as they will spoil it and we will lose it. Anyone posting location details on here will not be invited to future events, and I will ask admin to edit their posts to remove the location details. Anyone attending these events is politely asked not to divulge to location to any other groups or individuals and keep it to themselves. Sorry but now weve got the place, I dont wanna risk loosing it due to the actions of other less responsible 4x4 owners. Please add your name to the list below if you are going to join us on the 17th...and remember your wellies!!
See ya soon Gregster

What tyres are you running mate, only you are going to struggle if you havent got mud terrains....all terrains will clog in seconds up there... Still worth coming if your on a/t's but if its been raining hard just prior to the meet, I would be inclined to advise that you sit it out with your car and use the opertunity to get to know the rest of the gang, and jump in our motors with us and see/learn what its all about... Dont want you to trash your car first time out... You will really enjoy it mate...it will be yet another blinder up there...

Not trying to put you off mate...will be great if you can come along...I just dont want your first off road experience to be a bad one if you damage your car badly...I will take you round in the li'll white leafer with its dumper tyres on...goes everywhere that does Brace yourself if I put my brain in the glovebox though...as that means we are gonna "make it or break it!"... Have a look at your tyres...come along anyway, and we can see what its like on the day...it dries out real quick up there as has a chalk substrate... Guarantee you will enjoy it...and go home with loads of cool ideas for mods to do to your car!

Watcha Greg If the snow's still around, are you still looking to run this event? If 'yes', will the Bar Be be running - will you be putting up a supplies list as per last Picnic? Pedro

Cheers Pete.... Sally and I went up the woods today and what can I say..... 15" of snow in the bottom!!! The main roads are clear, and the lanes are ploughed and easily passable in a 4x4... So YES, we are going ahead....its going to be wicked fun!!! I expect a bit of a thaw before next weekend, but the snow does hang around up there so there should still be some to turn into muddy slush!!! As for the FOG-B-Q...it will be there...will put the list up in a minute!!! Cant wait... its gonna be brill...I cant plan stuff like snow but mother nature has kindly obliged us a different challenge! didnt venture in there in the 4x4 today in case I got stuck and on my own couldnt get out, so it is all undriven and virgin snow, waiting to have its virginity removed by your muddies!!! See ya there Foggers....
