the clutch poll for horses SWB?

as i'm getting really sick now as the swb clutch went last night on the way to the christmas midland meet,2 hours waiting in the cold for recovery.i have spent £300 getting the head gasket and water pump done and milners clutch is £115 then getting it fitted do i spend this on it or call it a day let you lot decide as im peeeed right off at the min

Well you know you shouldnt get any problems with the engine for a while ,gather the belt was done as well , I always look at the whole car , when is it up for mot etc , what needs doing , ,Personally i would get the clutch done

Keep it H, you just spent £300 on it if you scrap it you may as well of set fire to the cash. At least you will have good solid engine and clutch afterwards..

Get a new clutch and rear crank seal and you will have a goodn for years, nothing major can bust on it now its all been fixed

And can't you get a re conditioned Clutch or get the one re conditioned like

You could allways sell it me for £100 if your that desperate Rob!!! Only joking mate i got a complete clutch kit from a local motor factors for £88 cost me £160 to have it fitted co's i coul'nt be arsed. (Just bloody Lazy). If you dont need it desperateley til after crimbo leave it and we'll see about getting some boys over to fix it.

gutted you couldn't make to do but........ if we can sort out a weekend when a few of us are free it's an easy enough job, no need to pay for it to get fitted.
Don't give up on her as stated you already paid £300 on her so it would be pointless to scrap her just for what is effectively a consumable on a car.

if you can get a clutch for £88 & then get some help fitting it you will then have the most reliable shorty in the midlands - probably

You've spent so much time and money on it, so don't let a clutch beat you. Enjoy christmas and new year get them out of the way. and then arrange yourself a spanner party, clutch fixed + new engine = happy fronty owner

Cant scrap it after doing all the rest. Clutches go its one of thew things about life. Replace it and have a superb SWB

well thanks for all the words of encouragement and looking like im gonna do the clutch .but dan do you think i could do it on that hill outside mine?.next stop milners me thinks so i guess thier is a spanner party coming up .
