4WD HIGH & LOW

Hey Peeps,
Sorry for asking such a dumbass question but i`m new to Fronteras never mind a 4wd system and was wondering if someone could explain to me the differences in 4wd high and 4wd lo and when for example it is suitable to use them and at what sort of speeds etc, etc....

As i`m looking to "PLAY" a little while its snowing and should i get stuck on a particularly slippy hill i want to make sure i am selecting the correct gear.

4H will be fine on 90% of on road snow conditions in the UK, but when the snow has gone leave 4wd and go back to 2wd, look up "wind up" in the link below.

Cheers for that Drift i have previously looked at the Wiki page and got the low down on the wind up thing however that doesn`t cover the Hi & Lo 4wd settings maybe a possible sticky????

Hi ratio is basically for higher speeds on slippy surfaces, Lo ratio is for if your REALLY stuck or very rocky terrain where you need to crawl.

You should never need Lo ratio on the road.
