choosing a new fronteraafter 2 years of trouble free driving on and slightly off road with my 96 sport ive thaught about upgrading to 2000-2004 lwb frontera my big puzzle is what one wich is the best engine i do a lot of road miles 25000 a year average. towing my 18ft caravan and launching my boat. my sport is a 2ltr petrol wich does 20-25 mpg wich i dont think is all that bad but i would like a little better if possible .also is there anything in the type b too look out for problem wise .i replaced the auto hubs on my 96 sport with manual ones does anyone know if they will fit the type b thanks for any info in advance
Re: choosing a new fronteraB series have direct locking cover plate so no need for manual or auto hubs
Re: choosing a new fronteraDefinitely the 2.2dti, the later the better as nearly all glitches where ironed out on the later models, thing with the sub 2003/3 models is dont run out of fuel as you WILL kill the injector pump and that can cost £600 plus.
They return low to mid thirty's mpg average. It has a vac operated hub system that works like manuals but is automatic but without the draw back of the old mechanical auto hubs, so you can sell your manual hubs, just going to sit back and watch the A series owners bite your arm off Ste
