Hi All,
I have noticed that my key fob was a bit dodgy this morning and it looks like the battery might be on its way out.
I mentioned this in a car shop sometime ago as I thought I would re-new it when I first bought the car. They guy in the shop said do not remove
the current battery as it would need re-programming. Is this correct ? can I not just remove it and stick a new battery in ?
Anyone had similiar problem or changed battery ?

the battery is ... CR2023 ......you have a generous time limit of 3 minutes to remove the battery & install new before it needs to be re synchronised :wink:

even so it does not need re programming, re synchronised yes,had to do this on mine and on my astra,all i had to do was turn ignition on and within 2 seconds press the buttons on the keyfob,on the fronty the battery was out for over a week drying out after the wife kindly put the keys in the washing machine lol :lol:
