Re: mot fail questionsHi Kevin,You most probably have a wear ridge on the drum, look on the back plate you will see a rubber grommet...........
![]() Pull that out & look inside with a torch & you will see a star wheel that adjusts the brake shoes................................ ![]() Drum off (Sorry pic quality is rubbish).................. ![]() To further aid removal there is a tapped (M6x1.0mm)hole,wind a bolt in & tap the disc at 180 degrees ![]() Reassembly is eased if you turn a chamfer in place of the wear ridge
Re: mot fail questionsThe rear drum models are slightly different. The adjuster wheel is turned through a hole in the face of the drum (the side the wheel bolts to). There is also a large + head screw which holds the drum to the inner housing.

Re: mot fail questionsAgain Il say that the adjuster is accessed through a hole in the front of the drum not the rear.

Re: mot fail questionsnew front shocks fitted, but stuck on the hub..... i can't find a grommet on the back plate!! i'll go with gypsys idea that the shoes are stuck on a lip... i seem to have a fraction of side to side flex but no movement at all. my own fault like with my lack of maintainance
any more ideas most welome frontera 2.8td hybrid
