Re: Children in need. What could we do??What about......
Using the wonderful power of FOG, To get something from John O Groites to Lands End? Don't know what, but that could be like a relay and involve loads of us. All sponsored and donated. Maybe to include something like calling at hospices on the way? For what it's worth it was worth all the while

Re: Children in need. What could we do??we as a group could also get sponsership for the anount of miles pudsy goes if everyone printed a form off and took it it work ect we could raise a bit of cash that way?
Re: Children in need. What could we do??That could be quite a few miles, maybe chuck in a few lanes and use the lane miles for sponsership:?:

Re: Children in need. What could we do??Like the sound of the sound of the John O Groates to Lands End thing I think sponsorship from individuals would be quite hard as it wouldn't be a single person doing the trip however if members made donations then that would work. I'd happily take the bear for part of the journey.
How about a group meet somewhere? £10 a head or something? I like the idea of fancy dress laning Charity auction? sell stuff with all profits apart from postage costs going to CIN or if we had big meet bring stuff we want to get rid of and people put in the bucket what they think it's worth?
Re: Children in need. What could we do??Well I'm up for the john o Groates to lands End Live in Rosehearty Aberdeenshire (the lower corner of the top bit of Scotland) but a Pudsey bear relay sounds good to me
Howard I'm A NURSE so RUN if you see me coming with a catheter in my hand, GRIN on my face Looking at YOU
Re: Children in need. What could we do??I already have a Pudsey bear to use as a baton, I could make up a sponsorship form easily enough and will apply for a fundraising pack
from Children in need. Then we could all as already posted get some sponsors from friends and colleagues. Pudsey could then be passed from member to member and pickies taken at each hand over of Pudsey, the fronty and member at a local landmark as a record. What do we think then???? ![]() Ramsgate, Kent

Re: Children in need. What could we do??We're up for doing our bit, and more if required.
Mrs H has been speaking to one of her close friends, who is a now a freelance motor sport journalist, but has got many contacts with the nationals as well as locals over the whole of southern england. She is more than willing to use those contacts to try and drum up a bit of publicity for us, which can only be good. I know that I will be using her contacts, and if we can arrange it, I will try and get our handover to happen at Silverstone. What is the view of other people? Who could do what? We could certainly either pick up from north of Birmingham, or take down to newbury / winchester / swindon way, unless anyone else wants to part of that route. Or do people want to do a 'Pudsey convoy' on some stretches? And the most important thing, when? For what it's worth it was worth all the while

Re: Children in need. What could we do??Yup count me in on this as well, I can pick up from high wycombe/beaconsfield m40, J14 to J22 ish on M25. Probably best to see how many people we can get to do it then divide up the mileage some how?
Re: Children in need. What could we do??i can pick up from mk area down to m25 area (north)

Re: Children in need. What could we do??Excellent!! We're getting interest now! The power of FOG!
Just been on the AA route planner, and they say the quickest way will take 15hours (thats excluding the handovers, and the 'Oooh I do like your truck' chats). I then planned it to go via the South East, to include our members down there, and it came back as being 21 hours. So with that in mind, I think it may be best to do this over a weekend, unless we get enough interest if a weekday can be done. CIN is on Friday 20th November, so if we plan to do it around this time, then we need to start getting things together. But I suppose it could also be done at any time. For what it's worth it was worth all the while
