Hello people I need some help!
Ive bought a new ignition barrel for my MK3 Golf And i cant see how the old barrel comes out. any help would be appreceated.

Re: VW GolfOn my astra it was key in position two then on back of the barrel there was a little hole were you pushed a bit of old coathanger in to release the spring catch.Then pull on the key then the barrel come out
Re: VW GolfEssentially the same with Frontie's too... I have the locks from my old LWB somewhere, and to remove the ignition barrel, it's a case of remove cowling, insert key and turn, then depress the spring loaded pin.

Re: VW GolfIf it's same as a mark 1/2 take the cowl off put the barrel against the old lock housing and look where the clips are that lock the barrel in and drill two holes in the lock housing put the key in push the clips in and pull out
It might be slow but i can go anywhere!
