Head Gasket replacement

Hi All,
I had a good weekend at last refitting my skimmed and tested head with all new gaskets,bolts and seals. I hope I am not tempting fate too much but all went well and she is running fine.
cost me approx £165 all in and that includes oil change. Also due to the p#ss poor job the garage did for the previous owner I put a number of things right whilst I was in there.
I would like to thank all you guys out there for the advice and technical knowledge sent to me via the web site. Especially my neighbour and friend Mark Ireland who gave me the confidence to attempt the job in the first place. Also a big yes to Fogman about the air lock in the heater matrix, you were bang on and once that was sorted things ran sweet.

help just joined and bought a frontera swb 2.0 apache 3 days ago and shes starting to lose alot of coolant and their cream under cap any help would be appreciated or any recommend a reasonable repair garage in south wales love this car but now gutted and dont want to get rid of her,just taken her to one garage who said she lost pressure in half hour and he thinks it the head gasket and quoted £550

did they quote for head gasket replacement only or for anything else cos it does seem to be a bit on the high side ! if youve only just brought the fronty surely you can take it back & at least get some cash back
