Hi people

i Brought my 1st Frontera back in April, a 1999 B 2.2 dti, its now time to renew the insurance.
The question is, does it have an immobiliser and what make is it ?

Sureterm Direct, Fully comp,
Protected NCB,
Courtesy Car (4x4),
Legal Cover,
Windowscreen Cover,
Personal acc cover,
Green lane cover,
15% discount for being a member of a 4x4 group
All for £181.77 per year
but i need the question answered please.

Christ, I hate having an L postcode they have my pants down

It will be just classed as a factory fit immobiliser unless and afer market system has been fitted with certification, Thatcham Approved.

One word of warning from experence with Sureterm, watch out for mods.
I had my insurance with them.
Before I took out the policy I was told I'd get 3rd party on any car - I didn't.
I told them about my planned mods and they said they were ok and would be covered - when I declared them they cancelled my policy (and charged me £25 for their error) as they didn't insure for lifts over 4".
Also their cover will not cover you if you take your car to an off road (pay and play) site, then intend on driving it on the road afterwards.

If you do take out insurance with them, carefully check the documents and make sure you are covered for your requirements, as my experence with them shows they do not know about 4x4's if you are using them in any offroad (or laning) sense, or if you intend to modify it in any way.
I had to describe to them what a body lift was. They thought is was a suspension modification

Otherwise, you got a very good price.

I know of and all makeS 4x4 forum that had that company sponsoring there site and they had problems with them.
